Medieval to Post Medieval cast lead-alloy circular unifaced token of Powell type 14 (c. AD 1250-1800). The token has a raised design of an equal armed open cross on the obverse with a pellet centre. The cross arms are slightly offset from each other and have rounded ends and are remaniscent of mill sails. Between the arms of the cross there are pellets with lines radiating out from them to the edge. The edge has a raised border. Diameter: 20.5mm, Thickness: 2.1mm, Weight: 4.63g
Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore hard to date precisely and could be Medieval or Post Medieval in date.
