A silver medieval farthing (1279 - 1509) of of unknown ruler or mint. Highly worn and slightly conical possibly due to excessive force during striking.
Notes:
/[CIVI]/ is just legible on the reverse, thus the mint will have been York, Lincoln or London as these were the only mints producing farthings of the period who's obverse inscriptions starting with CIVITAS.
