An incomplete Roman copper-alloy button-and-loop fastener.

The loop is triangular in plan, the two long sides converging towards the bottom, where they are joined and have a near-right-angled bend. At this point the now-missing head would have been attached. The loop has a rectangular cross section and is at its widest at one of the top corners.
