A piece of flint debitage of probable Mesolithic or Neolithic date (c. 7000 - 2351 BC). The debitage consists of a trapezoidal flake with a broad lozengifrom striking platform and a low bulb of percussion, indicating soft hammer working. It has been struck off a tertiary flake. There is no cortex remanining. The flake terminates in a hinged fracture at the distal end. The dorsal surface exhibits seven negative flake scars, possibly from the manufacture of bladelets. The flake exhibits two crushed edges, however, there is no evidence of retouch visible. The flint is a dark opaque grey with light grey inclusions.
The flake measures 17.85mm in length, 26.83mm maximum width, 21.22mm minimum width, is 8.89mm thick and weighs 4.68g.
