The implement has been fashioned from a large naturally fractured flake. The natural fracture of one side of the implement is flat. The other side which is convex has an off-white coloured cortex. The two ends of this side as well as both of the sides have been crudely knapped to form what could be described as a scraper. However, the size and shape are similar to that of some handaxes of this period. The side of the tool which is occupied by the coarse cortex has evidence of barnacle settlement.

Found in beach shingle near High Water Mark.
