An incomplete and worn copper-alloy Roman Langton Down bow brooch. Only the wings and the bow survive, the remainder of the object is missing due to old breaks, now worn.

The wings are folded over to be cylindrical in form and undecorated. The juncture of the bow is rectangular. The bow is flat and rectangular. It is undecorated and tapers towards the foot. On the back face of the foot are the remains of an integrally cast catchplate.

This brooch measures 18.35mm in length, 17.80mm in width at the wings, 10.78mm in width at the bow, 3.12mm in thickness, 3.07g in weight.

There is a similar example from Camulodunum (Hawkes and Hull, 1947, plate XCIV, no. 97).
