An incomplete copper-alloy bar mount of Medieval date. It is missing part of the outer edge due to old breaks, now worn.
It has a central domed circular lobe and two smaller rectangular terminal lobes. The central lobe is hollow and the front face is decorated with a central circular aperture. Surrounding the aperture are three transverse grooves. There are multiple shorter, finer, longitudinal grooves crossing the transverse ones, creating a series of cross-hatching. Both terminal lobes contain separate circular copper-alloy rivets, with flattened round heads.
This bar mount measures 18.16mm in length, 9.06mm in width, 2.59mm in thickness, 0.84g in weight.
