A Post Medieval silver gilt finger-ring, dating to the early 16th century. The ring is D-shaped in section and is decorated on one side only. The flat face is on the inside of the object. The ring has been broken and bent so that it resembles an S-shaped strip of metal. The decoration consists of alternating panels; one is a plain square with double lines forming a border and the other is rectangular with two voided crosses over five horizontal lines of beading. On the back there appears to be a maker's mark but, due to wear, it is difficult to determine. The mark appears to be two circles, one smaller than the other, on top of one another. The gilding on the object has worn away in places.

A similar example can be seen on the PAS database (NMGW-23630A), which references published examples that are believed to be Tudor in date.
