A lead vessel, D-shaped in plan, and with a flat back. The sides flare upwards and outwards from a base c40mm across. There is an encircling groove just below the rim and a further pair of grooves further down the body. The height is c38mm.
The vessel is crushed and distorted and about 10% is missing.

Notes:

Such vessels are often referred to as 'bird seed containers' or 'bird feeders' but it remains unclear whether or not this was their true function.
