A lead steelyard weight of probable Roman date (c. AD 43 - 410).
The weight is bi-conical in profile and circular in plan. It features a complete copper alloy rod with a rectangular cross section (3.05mm wide and 1.9mm thick) which protrudes from both ends in the form of two loops.the weight is 55.45mm in length, 24.85mm wide and weighs 76.27 grams.
