FINGER RING

Roman gold finger ring, rather crushed and distorted and quite heavily worn. The circular hoop of lenticular cross-section expands to narrow triangular shoulders, one decorated with a slightly raised moulding the other with a pair of shallow incised lines. The bezel is flat, sub-rectangular and undecorated.

Discussion: a not dissimilar ring was discovered at Highnam, Gloucestershire (2006 T136; PAS GLO-DAC097).
