An incomplete copper-alloy rectangular two piece strap end of Medieval date. Only one plate survives, the remainder of the object is missing due to old breaks, now worn.
It is flat with a rounded terminal. At the attachment end are two V-shaped notches and two circular rivets holes. Both faces are undecorated.
This strap end measures 43.48mm in length, 17.81mm in width, 0.90mm in thickness, 2.97g in weight.
There is a similar example from London (Egan and Pritchard, 1991, p. 133, no. 609).
