An incomplete and bent copper-alloy spoon of Roman date. It is missing the majority of the bowl due to old breaks, now worn.

The handle is a flattened D-shape in section with a flat back and rounded front face. It is undecorated and tapers to a point. The bowl is integrally cast and sub-circular before terminating in old breaks.

This spoon measures 57.15mm in length, 15.32mm in width at the bowl, 3.93mm in width at the handle, 2.04mm in thickness, 2.85g in weight.

There are similar examples from Colchester (Crummy, 1983, p. 70, no. 2008, 2014).
