Unique ID: SF-6D0CD4

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

An incomplete and slightly bent undecorated pair of copper-alloy tweezers of probable Roman or Early Medieval date. Only one arm survives, the remainder of the object is missing due to old breaks, now worn.

It is flat and rectangular with a slightly expanded terminal that turns inwards at an angle of nearly 90 degrees. The top of the arm narrows to a rounded terminal with a central circular perforation. The front face of the top of the arm is decorated with transverse grooves. The back face is undecorated.

This object measures 33.47mm in length, 7.95mm in width, 0.70mm in thickness, 1.21g in weight.

There is a similar example with a circular perforation at the top of the arm recorded on the PAS database (SF-607BA6).
