A complete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy furniture fitting in the form of a keyhole escutcheon (c. 1600-c. 1750).
This escutcheon is roughly heart-shaped in plan, flat at the front and partially flat at the rear. It has a keyhole shaped aperture at the centre and two ear-like projections at the top. On the rear face are two integral spikes or rivets, one either side of the aperture.
This escutcheon is corroded and drab green with iron staining on the rear face.
