Copper alloy central swivelling loop and shank from a medieval purse frame. On both sides of the loop two transverse grooves and five (on one side) and six oblique grooves (on the other). All were once inlaid with niello which remains in four. Ward Perkins 1940, Type A. Height 58mm. Width 17.5mm. c.1450 - c.1500.
