A complete Medieval silver halfgroat of Henry VI (1422-1461), minted at Calais. Annulet issue, 1422-1427. Initial mark: cross V/no reverse initial mark (North 1991: 74, ref: 1429).


Obverse: +hENRIC DI GRA REX ANGLIE Z F (saltire stops); Crowned bust facing within a tressure of nine arches (annulets by neck)


Reverse: Outer: POSVI/DEVm /ADIVT/ORE m (I have made God my Helper) (saltire stops); VIL/LA/CAL/IS (annulet and double saltire stops); Long cross dividing the inscriptions with three pellets in each quadrant. An annulet in VIL and CAL quadrants
