A complete lead or lead alloy unidentified artefact, possibly a terminal, of uncertain dating, but probably Modern (AD 1800 to AD 1950).
The terminal is irregular in shape. It has an extended triangular knop at the top of the artefact, which expands into a hollow sub square central body. Foliate decoration appears to be present on the sides of the knop. This central body is open on one side, creating a rectangular void. The void measures 13.6 mm wide by 4.8 mm tall, and 13.8 mm deep. The other sides are closed with pellet decoration. The base of the square body has a circular hole located centrally (internal diameter 5.2 mm), with two small suspension holes to either side (internal diameter 1.6 mm).
It measures 28.9 mm in length, 18.7 mm wide and 18.7 mm thick. It weighs 16.6 g.
The artefact is a mid grey colour, with an even surface patina.
A similar artefact has been recorded on the PAS database as LANCUM-78FFB6, although original function still has to be determined at the time of recording.
