Part of a probably rectangular copper alloy sheet, one end missing, the other incomplete with two rivet holes, one truncated by the break, with a round aperture between them. Near by a secondary punched hole is rust stained on the front face. There is silvery solder on the reverse. Probably an outer plate of a composite tongue-shaped strap end. Extant length 32mm. Width 17.8mm. c.1270 - c.1450.
