A copper alloy cast core of a contemporary copy of a Roman denarius of Antoninus Pius (AD 138-61, Reece period 7), unidentified figure standing left to reverse. The coin is a crude pimply casting showing slight signs of wear. Any trace of silvering or silver plating has now been lost.
