A flint end and side scraper, probably dating from the Mid Bronze Age to Early Iron Age (c. 1600 BC - c. 401 BC).
The piece is suboval in plan, of 'D-shaped' section and retains much of the original cortex, indicating that it may have been struck from a natural nodule. Retouch, which is long, sub-parallel and semi-abrupt, is located at the rounded distal end, extending to the mesial edges. A possible low bulb of percussion is visible on the otherwise plain ventral surface. The white surface of the exposed flint is the result of deposition within alkaline soil.
