Medieval cast copper alloy buckle frame, oval with an expanded outside edge. The buckle bar is off-set and has a 2.0mm diameter circular section. In London buckles of this form were found in contexts containing pottery of Ceramic Phases 7-9 indicating a date range of c. 1200-1350 (Egan and Pritchard, 1991, Fig. 42). Width 25.9mm, Length 15.1mm, Thickness 3.3mm, Mass 3.09g.
