A flint scraper of probable Neolithic to Bronze Age date (c. 4000 - 801 BC).
The tool is roughly 'D-shaped' in plan, trapezoidal in section and has been made from a tertiary flake. The butt of the scraper has been removed, giving the tool a truncated appearance. Retouch, confined to the rounded distal end, is long, scaled and abrupt. Contact with alkaline soil has resulted in the formation of a white surface.
