A lead sealing dating to the second or third century AD. The sealing is oval in shape and approximately rectangular in section. The upper surface of the sealing appears to depict a male, bearded bust right in relief. The lower surface, although heavily damaged may depict a standing figure, of which only the legs are visible. Martin Henig compares a glass die from Dragonby (Corpus No. 166), a satyr walking right, holding a lagobolon [hare-hitting staff] and a dead hare. The damage to the lower surface of the sealing reveals that at least some of the interior is hollow. Presumably, the piercings to accommodate the cord were originally in this area. The sealing measures 16mm in length, 18mm in width and 5mm in thickness.
