An incomplete copper alloy double looped horse harness fitting dating to the Modern period (AD 1800 - AD 2000).
The larger loop is sub oval. The smaller loop is sub rectangular. The loops are set at right angles to each other. The loops are joined by an integral spherical collar on one end of the larger loop with a neck that is joined to one side of the smaller loop.
The harness fitting measures 78.8 mm in length, 23.0 mm wide and 25.5 mm thick. It weighs 28.9 g.
The harness fitting has a mid brown colour with an even patina.
Similar harness fittings have been recorded on the PAS database as WMID-170EB0, WMID-9DD663 and WMID-AFFC26 and have been attributed to the Modern period (AD 1800 to AD 2000).
