A cast copper alloy mount dating to the Medieval period, (AD1066-1500). The object is lozenge shaped in plan and flat. There is no visible decoration. The rear of the object is undecorated. The object is worn with a blackish patina and is corroded in places. There are no attachments remaining on the rear of the object.
Similar lozenge shaped mounts can be found in can be found in Read, (2001), p17.
