A cast copper alloy double looped rectangular buckle of Medieval date. The object has a drilled frame containing a separate spindle. The front of the object is notched where the pin rests. The sides are flanged. The object has a cast copper alloy pin, spindle and the integral locking arm is missing. A similar example can be found in Whitehead, (2003), p89, no. 554. It can be dated to c. AD1350-1450.
