Late Saxon copper alloy openwork buckle frame, flat sectioned, sub D-shaped with twin perforations flanking the pin groove, the outside edge of the frame has five rounded lobes forming part of the worn traces of moulded Ringerike style zoomorphic decoration that survive on the face. Narrowed pin bar, pin missing. Length 23.5mm. Width 28mm. 2-2.5mm thick. Similar examples have been found in Norfolk at Colkirk (NHER 30867), Grimston (NHER 30243), East Rudham (NHER 41006), Catfield (HER 40989) and elsewhere. 11th century
