An incomplete copper-alloy trumpet type brooch, dating from the late 1st to late 2nd century AD.
The subconical head is heavily damaged, and the spring and chain loop are missing. The head tapers into a circular-sectioned bow. The widest point of this bow is around halfway, where there is an irregular moulding with flanking groove above and below. Beneath this moulding, the bow tapers, terminating in a pointed foot. The remains of a catchplate protrude from the underside of the lower bow.
