A complete flint thumbnail scraper of Neolithic date (4000-2350 BC). The object is sub-ovate in profile and concavo-convex in section. The dorsal surface has covering scaled flaking and all edges contain fine semi-abrupt retouch. There is a distinct striking platform situated at the proximal end. The ventral surface is slightly convex due to a small bulb of percussion situated at the proximal end, the prominence of the bulb has been reduced by means of a single flake removal.
The lithic retains no cortex and is therefore a tertiary flake.
The flint is light brown in colour with cream inclusions through out.
