A circular, copper alloy coin weight for the gold half-ryal, dating from the fifteenth or sixteenth century, AD 1460 - 1600. The obverse depicts the king, holding sword and shield, standing in a ship. The reverse is plain. It is 14.8mm in diameter and 2.7mm thick. It weighs 3.44gm. For reference, see Withers, 1995, Lions, Ships and Angels, page 19.
