Lead steelyard weight. Cast rectangular section slightly tapered weight with a worn oval aperture at the top and a knife-cut tying notch above it. In profile the object is stepped, reducing its thickness here to 8mm, with the suspension hole passing through the narrower upper part of the object. Patinated overall. Suggested date: Roman, 43-410.
