A gold finger ring with intaglio setting surviving of mid.19th century AD date. This finger-ring survives in excellent condition.
Disclaimed as not treasure. Further identification given by Judy Rudoe of the British Museum. "...it has the papal keys on the bottom of the hoop and probably dates to the middle decades of the 19th. The intaglio appears to show a standing bull (background) and a horse in the foreground - it is difficult to judge if the gem is of earlier date than the ring (but even if it was, it still would not be treasure)..." Claudia Stedmond, Assistant Treasure Registrar, Treasure Team.
