An assemblage of 27 flakes of later Prehistoric date. They have a combined total weight of 236.70g and are of probable Neolithic to Bronze Age in date, c.4000-800 BC.

1) An unpatinated short flake struck from a mottled grey/brown flint. It has a prominent striking platform and bulb of percussion, retains its cortex at the distal end, and has parallel flake scars on the dorsal face. This flake measures 48.68mm in length, 33.50mm in width, 7.80mm in thickness, and 11.98g in weight.

2) An unpatinated short flake struck from a dark grey flint. It has a prominent striking platform and bulb of percussion, a hinge fracture with cortex remaining on one half of the distal end, and crude parallel flake scars on the dorsal face. One side of the proximal end has short, low angled and scaled retouch. This flake measures 41.12mm in length, 28.81mm in width, 10.02mm in thickness, and 10.54g in weight.

3) A partially patinated long flake struck from a mottled grey flint. It has a prominent bulb of percussion and a striking platform that is patinated. The distal end has a hinge fracture and retains some patination or dark brown staining, as does one facet of the dorsal face, which has parallal flake scars. This perhaps suggests re-use of an earlier flake. This flake measures 59.39mm in length, 38.33mm in width, 11.42mm in thickness, and 31.35g in weight.

4) An unpatinated long flake struck from a mottled grey flint. It has a prominent striking platform and bulb of percussion, with parallel flake scars on the dorsal face. This flake measures 48.45mm in length, 25.52mm in width, 10.07mm in thickness, and 10.92g in weight.

5) An unpatinated short flake struck from a mottled grey flint. It has a prominent striking platform, small bulb of percussion, and with parallel flake scars on the dorsal face. The distal end has limited semi-abrupt and scaled retouch. This flake measures 38.99mm in length, 21.26mm in width, 6.50mm in thickness, and 4.77g in weight.

6) An unpatinated squat flake struck from a pale grey flint. It has a prominent striking platform and bulb of percussion, hinge fracture at the distal end, and parallel flake scars on the dorsal face. This flake measures 25.90mm in length, 36.45mm in width, 8.62mm in thickness, and 6.40g in weight.

It has a prominent striking platform and bulb of percussion, cortex remaining at the distal end, and parallel flake scars on the dorsal face. This flake measures 35.11mm in length, 57.64mm in width, 9.17mm in thickness, and 16.35g in weight.

9) An unpatinated short flake struck from a mottle grey flint. It has a prominent striking platform and bulb of percussion, cortex remaining at the distal end and along one side, and single flake removal on the dorsal face. This flake measures 43.95mm in length, 42.98mm in width, 14.43mm in thickness, and 29.49g in weight.

10) An unpatinated squat flake struck from a mottled grey/brown flint. It has a prominent bulb of percussion and striking platform that is partially patinated. The distal end has partial cortex, with parallel flake scars on the dorsal face. It measures 29.61mm in length, 34.22mm in width, 9.87mm in thickness, and 7.03g in weight.

11) An unpatinated short flake struck from a dark grey flint. It has a small striking platform and bulb of percussion, cortex remaining along the length of one edge, limited flake removal on the dorsal face, and small areas of limited, low angled and scaled retouch on one side. This flake measures 39.90mm in length, 22.56mm in width, 6.24mm in thickness, and 4.70g in weight.

12) An unpatinated short flake struck from a grey flint. It has a prominent bulb of percussion, and striking platform that is partially patinated. The dorsal face retains small patched of cortex, with scaled flake removal and edge retouch in places, perhaps suggestive of usage as a simple scraper(?). It measures 25.05mm in length, 23.39mm in width, 9.13mm in thickness, and 4.63g in weight.

13) An unpatinated short flake struck from a grey flint. 17) An unpatinated squat flake struck from a dark grey flint. It has a prominent striking platform and bulb of percussion, with cortex remaining along one edge. This flake measures 27.54mm in length, 30.32mm in width, 4.87mm in thickness, and 2.82g in weight.

18) An unpatinated squat flake struck from a pale grey flint. It has a prominent striking platform and bulb of percussion, with limited flake removal on the dorsal face. One area of the dorsal face has the remains of polish, perhaps suggesting re-use or re-working of a larger polished (Neolithic?) implement at a later date. This flake measures 24.86mm in length, 28.69mm in width, 4.00mm in thickness, and 2.69g in weight.

19) An unpatinated short flake struck from a dark grey flint. It has a prominent striking platform, small bulb of percussion, and parallel flake scars on the dorsal face. This flake measures 27.24mm in length, 13.60mm in width, 5.31mm in thickness, and 1.74g in weight.

22) An unpatinated and snapped squat(?) flake struck from a pale grey flint. It has the remains of a striking platform and parallel flake scars on the dorsal face, snapped in half due to old breaks. This flake measures 27.47mm in length, 16.25mm in width, 4.18mm in thickness, and 2.21g in weight.

23) An unpatinated short flake struck from a pale grey flint. It has a prominent striking platform and bulb of percussion, cortex at the distal end, and irregular flake removal on the dorsal face. One edge of the dorsal face has possible limited, semi-abrupt retouch. This flake measures 35.78mm in length, 28.07mm in width, 9.82mm in thickness, and 8.99g in weight.

24) An unpatinated squate flake struck from a mottled dark grey flint. It has a prominent striking platform, small bulb of percussion, and parallel flake scars on the dorsal face. Both edges have limited, semi-abrupt parallel retouch, with a possible small notch visible on one edge. This flake measures 27.71mm in length, 45.66mm in width, 8.92mm in thickness, and 11.71g in weight.

25) An unpatinated short flake struck from a grey/brown flint. It has a small striking platform and bulb of percussion, with parallel flake scars on the dorsal face. This flake measures 18.57mm in length, 11.17mm in width, 2.03mm in thickness, and 0.41g in weight.

26) An unpatinated short flake struck from a brown flint that has been subject to fire or heat resulting in the visible interior structure having a crackled or crazed appearance. It has a small striking platform and bulb of percussion, hinge fracture at the distal end, and parallel flake scars on the dorsal face. This flake measures 43.67mm in length, 40.20mm in width, 14.52mm in thickness, and 28.91g in weight.

27) A partially patinated squat flake struck from a pale grey flint. This is a re-used flake struck from an earlier, patinated flake that has parallel flake scars on the dorsal face. The re-use has resulted in a prominent but patinated striking platform, prominent bulb of percussion, and limited flake removal exposing unpatinated flint on the dorsal and ventral faces. This flake measures 26.26mm in length, 31.55mm in width, 9.98mm in thickness, and 7.40g in weight.
