A lead-alloy steelyard weight, possibly dating from the Roman period.

The subovoid weight has been made is a two-piece mould, a casting seam extending around the perimeter. At the apex this seam is interrupted by an irregular hole, in which the now-missing loop would have been contained.

Length: 42.3mm; width: 34.8mm. Weight: 242.5g.
