A complete Medieval silver 'sovereign'-type penny of Henry VII (1485-1509), minted at York under Archbishop Thomas Rotherham, 1485-1500 (North 1991, 103, ref. 1727).

Obverse: hEnRIC:DI GRA REX:AnGL (colon stops); King enthroned holding orb and sceptre (no initial mark, no pillars)

Reverse: CIVI/TAS/EBOR/ACI; Royal shield over long cross which divides the legend, keys below shield

Diameter: 16.6mm. Weight: 0.72g. DA=12:12.
