Copper alloy plain asymmetrical buckle probably for a spur dating to the Post-medieval 1575 - 1700AD. The buckle has one rounded ('D' shaped) loop and one rectangular. The buckle is slightly bevelled inside and outside on the edges with lobed protrusions at either side. Very similar to No. 564. in Whitehead. R. 2003. Buckles 1250 - 1800. Greenlight. Witham. Essex. The length is 26mm, the width is 20mm and the weight 3.10g.
