A complete post-medieval copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame, both loops identical. Each is oval with a moulded knop at the centre of each outside edge and above and below the narrowed central strap bar. Each decorative knop is a rounded lozenge or diamond shape with a corresponding concavity on the reverse; one projects rather more than the other three. The buckle is worn and the pin is missing. A mostly brown matt surface with some patches of a green verdigris corrosion.
The buckle is 49.91mm long, 37.80mm wide, 5.01mm thick and weighs 10.0g. It is likely to date to 1550-1650 (Whitehead 1996, 62-66, nos. 372 and 401).
