A complete, Medieval Late C13-14th, struck or hammered, silver alloy, Edward I (1272-1307)or Edward II (1307-1327) long-cross Penny, possibly class 10. Obverse: Crowned head facing. Inscription: E[]R ANG []. Reverse:Long cross with three pellets in each angle. Inscription: (CIVI)TAS LONDON. Mint name: London. Die axis:9 o'clock. Worn or fine condition, full flan but crinkled probably by agricultural machinery but appears almost to be an early crooked coin 'love token'. Otherwise a very dark/black speckled tarnish over 70% of the coin. This coin is likely to date to 1301-1310. Ref. Coins of England and the UK, Spink 2014, page 166-170 no. 1409-1414. This coin is 16.85mm long, 15.17mm wide, 0.70mm thick, diameter 16.85mm and weighs 0.9g.
