Copper alloy flat mount, cross and crosslets shape. The mount has a simple line decoration running along the inside edge of the cross. In the centre of the reverse there was probably a pin, possibly made of iron to attach the mount. The mount weighs 1.04g and measures 22.2mm in diameter.
Amy Downes, FLO, adds: A published reference for mounts of this design is the Army and Navy Stores Catalogue from 1907, where they are on page 197 described as "fancy nails". They have been seen in situ on mirror and picture frames.
