Abraded fragment of a medieval sheet copper alloy rectangular buckle plate, the incomplete front part broken at the fold and across a rivet hole which was probably placed centrally, with a pin slot, frame recesses, two further rivet holes and, running along the sides and from side to side behind the pin slot, lines of finely executed interrupted rocker-arm engraving giving the appearance of tiny addorsed triangleslines of finely executed interrupted rocker-arm engraving giving the appearance of tiny addorsed triangles. Extant length 22mm. Width 26.7mm. 13th - 14th century.
