A cast copper alloy buckle chape dating to the Post-Medieval period. The chape is 'cooking pot' shaped. The outer edge of the chape carries a single, inward pointing, triangular spike. The object is mid-brown in colour with patches of a mid green patina where remaining. The chape would have been used on a shoe or a knee buckle. Similar examples can be found in Whitehead, (2003), p96.
