A complete lead-alloy spindle whorl of uncertain date but probably later Medieval to post Medieval.
The spindle whorl is circular in plan and bi-convex in section with a central sub-circular aperture of c.8.7mm on both faces. Both faces are decorated with a pattern of raised pellets.
The dating of unstratified spindle whorls is very difficult and this one has been dated provisionally as Medieval to Post Medieval c.1200-1800 pending better research on the dating of these items
