A cast copper-alloy D-shaped buckle frame from the medieval period (14th century), classifiable as Cassels type 1.5C. The buckle has a collared knop at the centre of its outer edge and has a narrowed and offset bar opposite. There are transverse ridges on the sides, adjacent to the internal edge of the bar. The plate and pin are missing. The frame has a green patina and is in fair condition.

A similar frame, still attached to a plate, can be found illustrated in Egan and Pritchard (2002, 94; fig. 59) no. 421, found in a later 14th-century context.
