Upper part of a medieval to post-medieval lathe-turned cast copper alloy candlestick, a distorted socket and part of the stem. There are two pairs and a single groove around the socket and another one at the junction with the stem. At the base of the interior of the socket and at the break the centre of the stem can be seen to be filled with dark reduced fired clay. Extant height 76.5mm. Internal depth of socket 53mm. Diameter of socket c.28mm, of stem 13.2mm. Weight 106g. 15th - 16th century
