A cast copper-alloy buckle of Medieval date, missing its pin due to old breaks. The frame is as Meols type 2 with oval frame and offset and narrowed bar. Hinging around the bar is a separately cast copper-alloy plate. This is rectangular in form with rectangular frame recesses and pin slot, folded to create a lower plate that is slightly shorter than the upper plate. At each corner of the attachment end are circular rivet holes containing seoarately cast copper-alloy rivets with domed heads. The entrie front face, in addition to areas of the back face, of the object has an added white metal coating. It measures 24.49mm in width, 39.12mm in length, 4.21mm in thickness, and 6.94g in weight. This buckle is of Medieval date, c.14th century AD.
