A cast copper alloy strap end dating to the Medieval period. The object is rectangular in plan and cross-section. It consists of two sheets of copper alloy held together with three circular rivets, two at one end and one in the centre. The remains of a strip of leather can be seen between the sheets. The upper face is decorated with an incised continuous zig-zag pattern along each edge. The lower face is undecorated. The two end rivets are domed on the upper face and measure 3.15mm in lenth and 2.62mm in width.
The object has a dark green patina and is in fair condition. All of the edges of the object are incomplete, probably due to recent plough damage.
