A complete, Late Post Medieval, cast, lead alloy, small/medium size uniface token. Possible Powell 32-Type classification No. 5 - linear cross with angles sub-divided by half crosses or No. 20 - square chequered field (multi-lined) type. The chequer design could possibly indicate having been given for a days harrowing. The token is very worn and the centre has been pushed or dented inwards. Otherwise it has a pale grey matt surface with some pale brown corrosion. This token is likely to date to 1500-1799. Ref.
