A set of three interlinked gold 'puzzle rings'.
Each of the three rings passes through the other two. Two of the rings are of equal form and size, each having been made from a single strand of wire, the ends butted together, a kink deliberately created at one point in the circumference. In contrast, the other ring has been formed from a twisted strand and has been bent into an uneven figure of '8' shape.
Maximum width of ring: 23.2mm. Total weight: 7.38g.
A similar set of puzzle rings is Treasure case 2005 T518, from Ilam, Staffordshire, which could not be securely dated and was therefore disclaimed (TAR 2005/6, p. 171, Fig. 880).
