A Medieval French jetton of 'shield of France ancient' series, of shield with many fleurs de lis: no tressure type and a straight cross to the reverse (Mitchiner 1988 p.169, nos.417-19), dating to c.1364-80.
The jetton has a small hole in the flan, presumably from a weakness in the metal.
